Even though I am a falcon fan and his teams kicked our butts every time we played I have to respect the man as a coach. He isn't credited for most of the stuff the 49ers ended up doing.

He was an offensive genious and he made little Joe Montana into a superstar hall of fame qb. The 49ers should have won more superbowls. My heart goes out to his family.

Bill Walsh died?Huh I missed that.  He was a very good coach and not prone to temper tantrums like some others.  He will be missed.  My condolences to his family and friends as well.

There are many coaches now in the NFL that were Bill Walsh's coaches during his years with the 49ers. There are too many to mention for sure. There are coaches that were coaqches on their staffs that also learned from Bill's teachings.

Seattle's coach Mike Holmgren is one that comes to mind, as well as all the coaches that came from his sytem.
